Can I work from the hotel?
Absolutely! Visitors are welcome to work from our Brasserie Abode Restaurant. Please enquire or notify our Reception.
Traveling to and from ABode Chester
Car
ABode Chester is easily accessible via the M53, M56, M6, and A483, with excellent road links from Manchester, Liverpool, North Wales, and the South of England.
From the M53 (Junction 12), follow signs for Chester via the A56 (Hoole Road). Continue straight, bearing left onto Hoole Way, then follow signs for the A5268 (Inner Ring Road). As you approach the roundabout at St Martins Way, you’ll see ABode Chester on the right.
Rail
ABode Chester is just a 10-minute drive from Chester Station. Taxis are usually available directly outside the station, or if you're heading there from the hotel, our Reception team will be happy to arrange one for you.
Air
ABode Chester is approximately 40 minutes by car from Manchester Airport. Follow the M56 westbound towards Chester, then join the M53 south. Exit at Junction 12 and follow the A56 into Chester city centre. From there, follow local signs to the hotel—located near the roundabout on St Martins Way.
ABode Chester is around 40 minutes by car from Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Follow Speke Boulevard (A561) to join the A533 (Mersey Gateway Bridge), then connect to the M56 westbound. From there, take the M53 south and exit at Junction 12 for Chester. Follow the A56 into the city, where you’ll find the hotel near the roundabout on St Martins Way.
Is parking available at the hotel?
Limited secure parking is available beneath the hotel on a first come, first served basis, with access via intercom from Nicholas Street. Spaces cannot be reserved and are charged at £20 per day (Monday–Sunday).
For alternative parking, Little Roodee Car Park is located just across the road on Grosvenor Road (CH1 1SL).
What time is check-in and check-out?
Although your room is available to check-in from 3pm, and check-out is at 11am on the day of departure, guests are welcome to arrive earlier or stay after they’ve checked out to enjoy the hotel lounge, Brasserie or explore the local area.
How far is ABode Chester located from the Chester Racecourse?
Chester Racecourse is just a light 10-minute walk from ABode Chester. Simply head south-west along Grosvenor Road, then turn right onto Nuns Road. Follow the road along the racecourse perimeter, then turn left onto New Crane Street (A548). Continue briefly, then turn left onto Loverose Way, and follow the path until you arrive at the main entrance of Chester Racecourse (CH1 2LY).
How far is ABode Chester located from the Chester City Centre?
Chester’s historic city centre is just a pleasant 10-minute walk from ABode Chester. Simply follow Grosvenor Road and cross the bridge into the heart of the city, where you’ll find Eastgate Street, The Cross, and an array of shops, cafés, and attractions right at your feet.
Are children welcome?
Children of all ages are welcome to stay at ABode Chester and infants (aged 0 - 2) stay for free. Children (aged 3 - 16) will be on the same rate (e.g. bed & breakfast) as the adults on their reservation.
Children aged 0-2 dine for free. Children aged 2- 12 will receive a £20 food allocation towards dinner.
When is Breakfast served?
Breakfast is served from 7am to 11am, Monday to Friday, and from 8am to 11am on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
Can I book a private event at ABode Chester?

Where can I smoke or vape around hotel?
You are free to smoke outside, where ashtrays are provided. Please don’t smoke or vape inside our public rooms or inside your own room. Smoking indoors is prohibited and will incur a charge.
